For fans of the
Conjuring franchise, the latest installment is the Annabelle Comes Home movie
and its release means costumes will be in demand. This horror movie follows the
story of the Annabelle doll. It’s set in the late ‘60s and begins when the
Warrens get the doll from two nurses.
As the couple are taking
the doll back to their house, their car breaks down and because of Annabelle,
Ed Warren nearly dies. The couple have a room in their home that they keep
locked.
In that locked room,
they keep artifacts that are evil. This room is dark, spooky and many fans of
the franchise will quickly be able to spot items that were featured in other movies
in the line.
In an attempt to keep
the evil in the Annabelle doll under control, the Warrens place the doll within
a glass case. The further get a priest’s blessing involved with the idea that
surely this will keep the evil at bay.
At first, it appears
that this blessing has worked and that the doll can’t do any more harm. But
then, while the Warrens are away, their daughter Judy is going to have a quiet
birthday with the company of her babysitter.
Everything goes south when the babysitter’s
friend arrives. This friend wants to get into the artifact room in an attempt
to find a way to link to her late father. This character foolishly frees the
evil held back by Annabelle’s glass case.
Judy and the two older
girls must then fight for their lives. In the movie, the doll looks weird and
is not a pretty doll at all. The Annabelle Halloween Costumes stick to that
same design.
You can find the adult
version of this costume in the same long, white dress. The dress has a flared
out bottom to it at the boot top length. The dress has a wide red sash with a
large rose flower on one side of it.
The top bodice of the
dress has a fine line of red piping. The sleeves are puffed at the shoulders
but are long, going all the way to the wrists. In some versions of this
costume, the face mask is not included so you’ll have to buy that separately.
Some of the masks come
with the signature hair, including the red hair ribbons. To complete the
costume, you’ll want to add a pair of black lace up boots like the one the doll
wears.
There is a men’s version
of this costume and it’s designed in sizes all the way to extralarge. The
costume is the same white dress with red trimmings. But it comes with a really
creepy Annabelle mask - including the wig. If you don’t want the dress, you can
just buy the mask as a standalone.
