Mal has a few key features that you’ll want to make sure you include whether you’re buying a premade costume or making one yourself. First, you can’t miss her bright purple hair.

You can use temporary spray-on hair dye if your child has the right hair length, or get a wig that has the right color and length. Other key parts of her outfit include her spiky purple jacket, leggings, and fingerless glove on her right hand.

If you really want to complete the look, you can get colored contacts and makeup to match the character almost exactly. Another popular character is Evie, Mal’s friend and daughter of the Evil Queen from Snow White.

Evie’s outfit consists mostly of blue colored items. First, her hair is a deep blue color, coming down just below her shoulders. She has a braid of hair running right above her forehead, with a flower hair attachment on it.

She wears two bright red, fingerless gloves with rings on them. She wears a blue jacket with studs and a red heart on it, along with matching motorcyclist pants. She also wears black heels, solidifying that biker look.

Finally, for the boys, they might want to dress up as Jay, son of Jafar. Jay wears a red beanie over his long, wavy hair. Most boys have shorter hair, so a wig is the best option for you to complete the look.

Jay also wears black fingerless gloves, along with some bracelets. The most prominent part of his outfit is his sleeveless vest, which is red and blue. He wears normal denim jeans along with combat boots for shoes. You can add gold accents to the vest and red accents to the jeans for the most accurate look.

Along with the jumpsuit, some of the Raphael costumes also have the hat and the shell for the back, too. But not every Turtle costume for babies will include socks - so you have to get those.

The costume that’s designed after Michelangelo for toddlers is also a green jumpsuit - but keep in mind that the degree of green in the costumes can vary.

Even the villains, rather than being ones that would frighten children, make them laugh with delight over their antics. The movies are based on the criminal mastermind known as Gru, which is played by the talented Steve Carell.

In the first movie, he adopts some sweet little girls that he plans to use to further his criminal pursuits. But as he gets to know the kids and grows to love them. Gru becomes a better person.

Gru is a hilarious criminal with an obvious soft side. You can find his costume for adults or teens and this outfit really does a good job of looking exactly like the one he wears on the big screen.

Keep in mind that there will be some variances with the costume due to different manufacturers. One of the hallmarks of his costume is the latex mask. Not every costume will include this piece, but if you’re going to dress like him, you really do need it.

This mask is rounded just like the character’s face, which gives him kind of an apple look. The mask also has extra-long eyebrows that are drawn into an arching frown. He has a long, narrow beak shaped nose and wide eyes.

He has a thin, smirking smile on the mask. Some of the costumes for Gru feature a shirt that’s usually in a muted color. The pants are usually dark. In the movies, he wears a striped scarf and you’ll find that with most of the costumes.

None of the costumes of this character include shoes. Some of the other characters that are wildly popular in the franchise are the minions. You can also find these for adults or baby, toddler and children sizes.

There are also plus sizes available. Some of these costumes are inflatable ones while others are not. One minion costume features the jailbird look and can have goggles, a hat, gloves, and the jumpsuit.

Another minion costume might be the jumpsuit overalls that the minions wear. You can find the Kevin jumpsuit for men or the dress jumpsuit for women. You can also get the Dave or Stuart minion costumes for men or women.

The little girls in the movie have some costumes as well. One of these is the Agnes costume. You can find these with the jumpsuit and some have the wig with the stand up hair included.

One of the funny villain costumes that you can get is the Balthazar Bratt one. This costume is usually a brightly colored jumpsuit, gloves and the hairpiece. Some of them will also include the thick mustache and eyebrow pieces - but not all of them will.

The outfit is both pants and a shirt that are separate. The shirt usually comes with pockets that are functional. The pants have loops for holding a belt. Most of these costumes come with the accessories that Rick carried when he first made an appearance.

That includes his law enforcement badge and his hat with the star on the front center of it. There are no shoes with the costume. Any of the accessories that he’s shown with later on the show like the machete or weapons are not included with the costumes.

Negan is one of the most hated villains on the show - especially after he killed Glenn right in front of the group. You can dress as Negan for Halloween. His accessory, the Lucille baseball bat with the barbed wire wrapped around it - is available so that you can add that to your costume.

Going back to heroes, one of the top favorites on the show is Daryl Dixon. Though he had a rough upbringing and a hateful older brother, Merle, Daryl turned out to have a heart of gold.

You can find Daryl’s famous crossbow that he uses to take on legions of Walkers and you can pair that with his costume to make his Halloween outfit look more authentic.  His costume often consists of a large poncho that has a print design on the front.

You can find this poncho costume in different colors. Of course one of the most fun things that you can do as a group on Halloween is to gather several friends and each of you go dressed wearing one of The Walking Dead zombie costumes for a creepy good time.

Thor is a very popular superhero and Nordic god, who gained the most popularity through the Avengers series of comics and most recently, the Avengers films. Thor has also gotten his own series of spin off movies, including 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok.

Thor is a mighty warrior who has control over lightning, and uses his mighty Mjolnir Hammer to strike down his foes. Naturally, such a cool superhero is going to be the thing that many kids want to dress up as for Halloween.

There are many Thor costumes available for both children and adults. In general, Thor’s outfit has remained the same throughout the years. He wears his Nordic armor along with a long red cape attached to his chest plate.

He has shoulder length blond hair, as well as a blond beard. He also has red wrist wraps with gauntlets over them, and wears long black boots. His armor varies between a silver grey and a silver blue color.

Thor also occasionally wears a helmet, but the design varies between iterations. The most recent helmet has flat wings on the side, and some parts covering the cheeks of the wearer. An older version of the helmet has wings flying out of the side with a small spike coming out of the top.

Thor might not be the only character your child wants to dress up as this Halloween. They might like the look of Loki, Thor’s nemesis, more. Loki’s outfit consists of gold and green armor, along with a helmet with massive curved horns on it.

Loki costumes are available for both guys and girls. For kids, the guy’s costumes may come with some extra padding around the shoulders to make it look like you have some extra muscles, or you might find them as normal jumpsuits.

No matter which character you choose to dress up as, you’ll need the right accessories if you want to get the costume just right. If you’re dressing up as Thor, your costume just wouldn’t be complete without Thor’s hammer.

There are plenty of versions of the hammer available from different costume retailers, ranging from ones that are just plastic, to ones that are foam, and even ones that light up and make sounds when you move it.

You might also add Thor’s helmet, because while he didn’t always wear it in the movies, it really completes the look. This also applies to Loki’s helmet, the costume just wouldn’t look right without it.

When you start with a likable hero that kids and adults alike are drawn to - and combine that with an edge-of-your-seat sport like racing, you have a definite winner – and that makes these characters one of 2017’s predicted bestsellers for Halloween costumes.

In this latest edition of the beloved franchise, time has moved on and there are many new racers ready to take over. Fan favorite Lightning McQueen is back and he learns early on that things are changing and if he wants to race again, then he’s going to need some help.

That’s where Cruz Ramirez comes in. This technician has a determination to win and she knows exactly what it’s going to take to get McQueen there. Kids love the idea of dressing up like their favorite characters from the movies as well as some of the latest newcomer characters.

One of the bestselling costumes features the hero from the Cars franchise - and that’s based on Lighting McQueen. Any child can be the fastest trick or treater on the block with one of the Lightning McQueen costumes.

This costume is a jumpsuit and may or may not have the upper portion of the suit padded to resemble muscles across the chest and arms. Some of the costumes will also come with a racing hat - but not all of them will.

Though you’ll see some of the costumes shown with a headset, these are usually accessories that you have to buy separately. Some of these costumes aren’t jumpsuits at all and instead just consist of a shirt or hoodie as the costume.

These are usually for toddlers. Another cute Halloween costume for toddlers is the Lightning McQueen costume that’s made to look more 3-D than the others, like the ride-on cars.

One costume that you can find for girls is the Cruz costume. This one comes in varying child sizes and is a yellow jumpsuit and hat. Mater makes a return in Cars 3 and you can also find different versions for a Halloween costume based on his character.

His outfit is a jumpsuit and cap. Though the character is often shown with a tool, this isn’t something that comes with the costume. Though the new movie features a host of other characters, there are no costumes available for some of these.

Ever since the line of toys was released in the 1980s, Transformers have been wildly popular among young children. The toys became so popular that there were multiple animated series, animated films, and most recently, live action films.

Starting in 2007, Michael Bay has directed many extremely popular live action Transformer films, and his final installment, The Last Knight, was released in the summer of 2017.

It’s no surprise to anyone, then that there are many kids out there who now want to dress up as the Transformers for Halloween, whether it be the newer live action versions or the old animated versions.

Easily the most popular character among the young boys who love Transformers is the protagonist, Optimus Prime. Optimus prime is easily recognizable, being the red and blue Transformer with a uniquely shaped helmet.

You can also see the front of the truck that Optimus Prime transforms into as his chest plate. Optimus Prime outfits come in various levels of detail, ranging from printed on fabric jumpsuits with half masks to 3D full mask highly detailed costumes.

You can also get costumes that look more like the characters from the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s cartoon shows instead of the live action movies. The other well-known character in the Transformers franchise is Optimus Prime’s sidekick, Bumblebee.

Bumblebee is a smaller, primarily yellow Transformer who works alongside Optimus Prime and was featured extensively in the live action movies. Much like the Optimus Prime costumes, there are various levels of detail in Bumblebee costumes.

Some of the costumes also have padded muscles, while others are more standard form fitting. Some of the masks available cover the entire face, while others leave large eye and mouth holes, allowing for more comfort.

For the most comfort, you can even get simple hoodies and pants styled after Bumblebee’s design. To complete any good Transformers costume, you’re going to want to add accessories.

For example, you could add the sword and shield that Optimus Prime used in the fourth Transformers movie. Both are molded from plastic, so they’re light enough to carry around and aren’t dangerous.

You could also add Bumblebee’s hand cannon to your Bumblebee costume, which is well padded on the inside for comfort, and slips on over your child’s hand. You can also add gloves that resemble the rest of the Transformer’s design, so you don’t have regular human hands sticking out and contrasting with the mechanical looking costume.

The tale of the Beauty and the Beast goes back a long way - all the way back to 19^th century France. The version almost everyone is more familiar with is the Disney animated film from 1991, which was a bit more child friendly and was very well received by all audiences.

However, in the summer of 2017, Disney released a new take on the same story, this time in live action. It featured Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as the Beast. With these new designs, people were excited to see new versions of characters that they had seen for years, so they made for some great Halloween costumes.

The Beast is a great option for any guy who wants to look princely, yet tough on Halloween. There are costumes available for both the new adaptation for the Beast, and the older 1991 version.

In the 2017 Beast’s outfit, he wears a blue coat with a matching vest, a white cravat, and grey pants. He has brown fur with backward, curved horns. The older Beast outfit consists of a purple coat over a gold vest, a white shirt, and black pants.

The main differences in the older Beast are that his head is much larger, his facial features are much more expressive and animated, and his horns curve forward. The masks available for the Beast differ in levels of quality and detail, from plastic half-masks to full, 3D faux fur masks.

Belle’s outfit has gone through almost no change between the 1991 version and the 2017 version. Disney recreated her animated outfit in real life to a tee. Belle has two main outfits throughout the movie that you can find costumes for.

The first one you see in the movies is her everyday outfit, which consists of a blue dress, white shirt, and white apron. She also keeps her hair back in a ponytail in this outfit.

Her other outfit is a grandiose, yellow dress with no straps. She also has long, yellow gloves coming up to her elbow. Obviously, this outfit would go really well in a couple costume with the Beast costume.

If you don’t want to dress up as either of the main characters in the movie, there are costumes available for side and minor characters as well. For example, you can be Gaston, the manly man who tries to woo Belle with no success.

You can also dress up as the furniture that comes to life in Beast’s castle, such as Lumière, Cogsworth, Chip, and Mrs. Potts. These might be great costumes for little ones if mom and dad are dressing up as beauty and the beast!

Something that’s been missing from Halloween a lot in recent years is actual horror.Most Halloween costumes now are based on popular characters that we like, instead of ones that we fear, despite Halloween supposedly being the scary holiday.

But this year, there are more Halloween costumes being made based on horror movie characters. For example, the Conjuring series has become very popular. Based on a true story, it follows the tale of a family cursed by an evil doll.

In real life, this curse was thought to be brought on by a Raggedy Ann doll. The Conjuring was released first, then Annabelle as a prequel, and in summer 2017, Annabelle: Creation was released.

While Annabelle’s story is based on a Raggedy Ann doll, she appears in the films as an evil porcelain doll in a white dress. She has thin eyebrows and greatly exaggerated makeup and features.

Her hair is long, blonde, and in two braids, each tied off with red ribbon at the end. There are licensed costumes available with a mask, a wig, and a dress to match how she looked in the movie, but you can also make your own costume – which is a white dress with puffy sleeves and a red sash tied around the waist.

As long as you get the wig and the dress, you can do your own makeup to look like the doll in the movie, adding a creepy Uncanny Valley look to your costume. You could also add in some accessories to really bring out the best look.

For example, fake blood is available from just about every costume and Halloween retailer out there. Splatter some fake blood on the white dress, and you’ll look even scarier than before.

You could also pick up a fake dagger or other knife to carry around. Combine the two by putting some fake blood on your dagger for that extra menacing look. It might also be a good idea to carry around a real creepy doll that you find in a thrift store or online.

There are also a few good opportunities for group costumes if you dress up as Annabelle. For example, you could do a group costume where everyone dresses as a different horror movie doll.

One person could be Chucky, another could be Jigsaw from the Saw franchise, and someone could be Annabelle. You could also pair it with a ventriloquist dummy costume.

You could also do a pairing costume where one person dresses up as the girl who plays with Annabelle in the movie, while the other person dresses up as Annabelle – a truly spooky option!

There are many options for costumes for girls - ranging from very modest ones for kids up through more daring ones for adults. There are also different versions of Wonder Woman to dress up as, given that she’s changed her outfit over time.

There are plenty of premade costumes out there, but you can create your own based on your favorite version of Wonder Woman as well. One of the most popular versions of the costume will be the one from the 2017 movie featuring Gal Gadot.

This version of the Wonder Woman outfit is much more sleek and modern, while retaining all of the iconic symbols. One of the most important parts is her tiara. It’s one of her most iconic parts of her outfit, and it’s been on every version of her.

Another important part of her outfit is her metal gauntlets. Next, there’s her dress, which consists of a red corset upper part and a short blue lower part. Finally, there’s her tall, red boots, which come up just below her knees.

There are many different styles to pick from to suit your interests. If you prefer a more modest costume, you can get one with a classic long blue skirt with white stars, reminiscent of the American flag.

In addition to you outfit, you might want to add some accessories to really pull the whole costume together. For example, you might want to bring Wonder Woman’s iconic Lasso, which is usually golden.
